Someone born and raised in the US is ‘told’ by the media to dislike the french and cuba. Is there anything first hand that cuba or the french has done to anyone individually? This leads me to an interesting observation. After watching Sicko from Michael Moore, it got me thinking about how life is there.

 From a medical perspective, the french , the cubans, and the canadians all do not pay for healthcare. Think about that for a second (which by the way, I highly recommend you see Sicko).  Free universal health care, if you’re rich or poor. In Sicko, there was an example of people going into Canada or Cuba to get free health care. The medication that many cant afford in th US.

 Then to top this all off, you have financial power of the drug makers and insurance companies lobbying the politicians. It was a rather eye opening experience to see the benefits other countries have. Add to that all the additional vacation weeks, sick days, and government sponsored programs for newborns. Is the US just a greedy country that truely doesnt look after its own citizens?
