Ebay is that marketplace that everyone loves. Over the years, the sellers have been singing a different tune. Ebay continues to hike the percentage it takes from sellers. Ebay went from 5.25% to 8.25% on every transaction that sell on its site. That increase dramatically lowers a sellers profit. Dont think for  a second that lowering the listing fee that there is a savings either! That extra .05 you save (literally) will kill you on the backend with a 3% increase.

This actually hurts us all. With higher fees and lower margins for sellers, sellers are already leaving ebay and going to other marketplaces. This in turn, hurts the buyer as their are less products for sale. Less products + same or greater demand, will equal higher prices for buyers.

 Ebay is feeling the pinch. You throw in a new CEO and you don’t know what will happen. Looks like its time for a new kid on the block.
