Not getting a speeding ticket is always on the forefront of us heavy foot drivers. The speed traps that are set my cops are the ones that can give you a heart attack. Regardless where you live, when you are cruising along and see you a police car out of nowhere, you instantly skip a 3 heartbeats!

Theres an interesting service out there thats a combination of cell phone, gps, and some reporting drivers. Since police traps occur at sporadic points during a day / week / month, its hard to actually get this real time information to unsuspecting drivers. 

Driver “A” would notice a speed trap and post it in. Google maps would that take those coordinates. Now, when driver “B” is close to the area, he would get a text alert. The catch of course, is that Drive B would need to has his cell phone GPS enable.

Neat Idea right? I still hate the damn speed traps! But anything that could help.
