Being in an earthquake is never pleasant. Having no control, literally feeling the ground below you move, all a little surreal. What happened in St Louis brings up some questions. St Louis had a horrible winter this year. You know throw in a 5.4 earthquake, you start to wonder “what the hell is going on”.

 Here is the exact quote from what happened “A 5.4 earthquake centered in West Salem, IL shook the St. Louis metro area early Friday morning. The quake happened at 4:37 a.m.  The epicenter is 127 miles from St. Louis. Reports of feeling the quake are coming far east Illinois and far west and southern Missouri. ”

Having an earthquake that ranges this wide in size is asking the bigger question : Can this occur where I live? Never a warning, all we can do is know what to do in the event of one!
