High Gas Prices - Food Prices - Inflation in Motion
Posted on: 04.21.2008
Getting gas these days is like trying to catch a fast moving train. Gas prices are going up twice in one day. You stare at these gas prices and it makes you think, wow, this is the first time that my generation has seen inflation. Besides gas prices, we have the dramatic increase in food prices. We will see the real effects this summer.
Weekends in the summer, families and friends get into their cars and go to their favorite local summer spot. Shores, Boardwalks, Beach. Regardless where you live, we all drift to these getaway areas. If we look at the price of pizza, which happens to be the most popular summer time shore fast food (bet ya didnt know that!). Anyways, the price of plain pizza this summer is going to pass $4. A large soda, over $3. So if you are like me, you get to slices and a large soda, it will cost you $11! Think about the downscale effect here.
