Is 90210 Going to Survive

The much hyped about past phenom brought to present life premiered last night. While the show had its moments (especially for the ones that saw the original), it didnt cater to the past audience that good. Yes, it was nice seeing “The Peach Pit”, Nat, Brenda and Kelly (which btw, Brenda looked beyond busted)… but thats it. In order for this show to truely succeed, it has to somehow cater to the original audience of the show.

When 90210 came on 15 or so years ago, there really wasnt any competition for teenagers. Now, oh boy, forget about it. All the reality shows, The Hills, Hanah… list goes on and on. The show has a unique opportunity to have parents watching it with their siblings. They need to capitalize on this pronto!

Women are Ruling the Election

Cindy McCain. Sarah Palin. Michele Obama. Each woman is powerful, rich, and hot. Think about that for a moment. You have 3 women this year that will be around in the international arena for years to come. While the male candidates have quite a background, they do a pretty damn good job at picking their women.

John McCain, you seriously have to love they guy. He’s that grandfather that is able to draw any woman into him regardless of age. Think about it….Sarah Palin. In her 40s, gorgeous. His wife Cindy…ok a little too much work done and is beyond dressed up… but for her financial worth and looks… can you really blame her. The late night comics will have a field day with these women

Presidential Election - Hot Women and Sex

2008 has been quite the election year. First african american, first woman… the list goes on and on. The best part , Americans are finally becoming a bit more like the Europeans when it comes to sex (and politics at least). Think about it, you have a HOT wife in Cindy McCain, you have a pretty wife with Michele Obama, and you a freakin beauty pageant VP of Sarah Palin. Think about it, there are some major women involved this year. To top it all off, all powerful with amazing good looks.

At first glance, there are the hardcore conservative Republicans that don’t like this shift. On the flip side, you have democrats that are appreciating the Republican ticket by being VERY LESS Conservative. To the point that, Obama doesnt seem so apparant as the “Man of Change”.

Are the Demons within AROD, or in NY

You have this all star in AROD. He shot up in Seattle, brought the big money in TX, then the megastardom in the Bronx with the $300 million dollar NY Yankees contract. So now what? The guy has hit his peak, and he’s only 33. Has a stunning wife (past tense now), and just is lost out there. Throw in a Madonna affair and who knows how many strippers….

The question that needs to be asked : Is this AROD at his core, or are the temptations in NY too much?

Its ironic right? I mean your wants in life dictate how you handle success. Someone like Jeter seems on top of his game, but is also living his life in a much different fashion. It seems the AROD personality and need for attention is causing a shakeup in his life. Now don’t get me wrong, i’ll NEVER feel sorry for the guy. But you can definitely see personality traits in AROD with many people in our lives.

Airport Taxi Drives Are PAINFUL

To all those travelers in the United States, be very careful when using taxi drivers designated by the airport. These drivers, especially the ones at Newark Airport, are the worst kinds. Instead of being glad that they have a customer to collect a fair, they in turn give you an attitude for only living less then 15 miles from the aiport.

So there I was, flying back from the West Coast into Newark. I go to get a cab, and I get a true attitude. He says ” you a killing me”. I wait so long and i get this short (meaning short fare). I wasnt dealing with his sh*t today. I had a long flight, and I have this guy yelling at me. Let me tell you, I made sure the world heard what was going on.

So in short, if any cab driver gives you attitude: get loud and in his face. Write down his license plate number and his medallian number. If these guys were to lose that, they would truely be crying

Cyber Cheating Continues its Rise

Cheating on your partner has been around for centuries. In many cultures, this is accepted behavior. In most, it is not. The internet however, has allowed a new breed of individuals to look outside their relationship. You have the standard dating sites where a majority of the people are actually single.

To fast forward to today, there are many sites that target men and women in relationships. You’ll find terms such as “Married and Looking”, “Discreet Man Wanted” are gaining in search popularity. There is on popular website that caters for “married / couples ” discreetly looking for sex. From a cheaters standpoint, you eliminate the number concern - getting caught! My removing the threat of being caught, you are able to have your cake and eat it too.

What I find ironic … at the end of the day, it turns out that selective honesty allows you to get what you want. You just cant be honest that you share your life with!

Hummer Drivers can cry to the Bank

Its amazing how a few years ago, every damn person was getting an SUV. Now, the inability to sell or return these lease vehicles early is putting a smile on my face. Is there a reason why a 5′1″ guy needs Tahoe to get his fat ass across town? And the hummers. You have GM dying to get rid of the brand but no one wants it. Maybe if we could somehow convert urine into an energy source!

We have a woman that climbed her way to the top. In her early 40s, she was the CFO of Lehman Brothers. Ultimately, it turned out her emotions caused her the position. Her inability to execute on a strategy, coupled with her emotional ties caused her downfall.

Eventhough she requested to step down, there are many that saw this coming. Its unfortunate , but is one of the many untold Lehman stories that will continue to unfold

American Idol Ends with Two Stars

Regardless what happens in the American Idol finale, you have two Davids that will go onto stardom. David Cook has the rocker voice, David A has the younger group. Combined, American Idol faired quite well this year. We of course didnt add any additional jobs out there for the top 10. Broadway will be sure to snag one or two (Taylor hicks just signed with Grease).
